Here's my latest EP: Brújula

Hi, I'm Luna Mir
I've been writing songs since I was 14 years old, writing mostly in english and spanish. I listen to all sorts of music to find inspiration, but if I had to choose my current inspirations, they would be The Beatles, Taylor Swift, Evanescence, Adele, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, and Rina Sawayama. My latin inspirations are Soraya, Juan Luis Guerra, Jorge Drexler, Residente, and Sílvio Rodríguez. When I'm songwriting, I usually write the lyrics and the music at the same time. I take one key word and stem the entire song around it, almost like building a world inspired by that one word. My favorite thing about songwriting is the storytelling it entails, where I can not only tell a story about myself, but also embody a character or create a situation outside of my experience. My favorite genre to write is pop music because it keeps evolving constantly, it's a reflection of society's tastes and changes. As a songwriter, it allows me to blend different genres and create something new that people can identify with and enjoy. My songs are often inspired by rock, alternative, and folk music.
